Polaris – 8 Ltd. -  Silistra is a company with a long history and traditions  in the field of the river and dredging work.
The extraction of inert material from the river of Danube is accomplished by floating  technical device:  multi- bucket dredger ‘Dnepr’. The transportation of the  extracted material to the port for public transport of regional importance ‘Silistra - Polaris 8’  is performed by two motor pushers : motor ship ‘Tsar Kaloyan’ and  motor ship ‘Silistra’  and nine non-self propelled barges - according to The  European Directives for Navigation and Ordinance №22 on Technical Requirements for Ships sailing on the  inland waterways.
